August's weather

It was a warm August, to put it mildly. The first few days were well over 85°F (30°C). Even the end of the month was well into the 70's.

The drought broke a bit earlier in the month, with just under 2 inches (50mm) measured. This is about on par with the past two Augusts. However, year to date we've seen less than half the usual amount of rain. We're hoping for wet weather this fall!
